Welcome to Colorado's premier family oriented individual outfitter, and thank you for your interest in Making The Shot. I am the sole owner and guide for this experience, and as a result you will be getting the best treatment possible. I specialize in providing the very best in a true western, low impact, outdoor experience. I hunt on public and private lands in various OTC units, and limited draw only GMUs, so hunts are challenging and 100% fair chase, but that makes the reward even more worth it. Nothing is more satisfying than utilizing your skills and instinct as a hunter to make everything happen, and I will be there to help you along until you end up making the shot!

Success not guaranteed, but so far our overall harvest success rate is 78%, with an opportunity rate of 96%.

I learned to hunt elk with my dad starting when I was 13 years old, and would like to be able to provide a similar experience for someone who doesn't yet have the knowledge to successfully pursue all of the wildlife Colorado has to offer. Discounted rates available for a parent accompanying a youth hunter!
